Memorial Garden

St. Matthew's maintains a beautiful Memorial Garden for members and non-members who wish to have their ashes interred here. The Memorial Garden Care Team meets Wednesday mornings at 9:00 AM from spring through fall. If you'd like more information, please contact the office.

Musical Notes

Music Ministries

Occasionally, but especially during the summer months, we have guest musicians and soloists to enhance our Sunday morning worship experience. If you would like to offer your talents, please contact our music coordinator, Bob Bartkowiak, at bobbartkowiak@stmatthewslivonia.org.

Joyful Noise Choir

All vocal backgrounds welcome! We sing a variety of music from classical staples to contemporary worship songs. If you feel called to participate, reach out to our choir leader, Karen Harkness, or contact the office.

Women's Fellowship

On a GLOBAL level we have made a pledge to support missions in the United States and overseas. We have also studied to learn about these missions and what they do and how we can assist. We have donated to the United Methodist Women’s LEGACY Fund which was established to assure an endowment fund that will support the administrative functions of the organization in future years guaranteeing that donations for missions will go directly for that purpose. Membership in the United Women in Faith and other information related to the group and its mission are available through the website www.uwfaith.org.

On a LOCAL level we have maintained a library of books from the UMW READING PROGRAM to assist members and others to read and learn about missions and many issues about our society to help understand the challenges that many face. There are also books for youth and children. It is on a Blue Cart kept in the Chapel. Please help yourselves, just bring them back. We also have monthly small group meetings (circles) for Christian fellowship and personal spiritual growth, as well as many other projects and gatherings throughout the year. The UWF of St. Matthew's is proud to be involved with the Methodist Children's Home Society, the Redford Brightmoor Initiative, and the N.O.A.H. Project. If you would like more information, please contact Mary Beltzman at maryhutzelbeltzman@gmail.com.
